  4. This file provides information for Shareware Distributors and Disk vendors
  5. who wish to distribute the SkyGlobe 3.6 package.
  6.  
  7. This version of SkyGlobe adds over 4000 stars to the standard database,
  8. GIF support, better printing, more star names, better mouse support, and
  9. numerous other ergonomic and esthetic improvements.  Registered users
  10. can now purchase an optional dataset of over 250,000 stars.
  11.  
  12.      You are encouraged to distribute copies of SkyGlobe, subject to the
  13.      following conditions:
  14.  
  15.      1) All files are distributed together and unaltered.
  16.      2) No charge is made for the software.
  17.         (A small fee for media and handling is permissible.)
  18.      3) Distribution that begins after June 1, 1994 requires
  19.         direct notification of KlassM Software, so we can provide
  20.         you with a new version if available.
  21.      4) Since this .ZIP is over 360K, it is STRONGLY suggested
  22.         that SkyGlobe be bundled on 720K distribution disks together
  23.         with CircumSpace (which accompanies this copy of SkyGlobe),
  24.         or if absolutely necessary the two should be repackaged to
  25.         fit together on two 360K disks.  Of course, BBS and CD
  26.         distribution is not affected by this.

  57. is the fastest program of its kind available, and it provides a realistic
  58. and beautiful display of the splendor of the heavens. You can instantly
  59. change your computer view of the cosmos to suit your own tastes, or use
  60. one of the many animation modes to simulate celestial motion. Use SkyGlobe
  61. to plan a night's viewing, teach yourself about the universe around us, or
  62. just to show off the graphics of your computer.

  64. SkyGlobe displays 29000 stars, constellation lines, the planets, Sun, and
  65. Moon, the Messier Objects, the Milky Way, and ecliptic, horizon, and RA-Dec
  66. grid lines, for any time and date, from over 230 locations around the world.
  67. All display settings can be quickly changed with easy hot-key commands, or
  68. through the use of the mouse. Zoom in or out in the blink of an eye, or use
  69. the handy Turbo mode with Zoom to create a warp-factor-like effect of racing
  70. through the stars. The mouse will constantly tell you the locations and names
  71. of bright stars and other objects, or use it to re-center the display at any
  72. point of interest. Stars, planets, constellations, and Messier Objects can be
  73. located through menus. Try the nifty Sidereal Time mode to preview the move-
  74. ments of your favorite planet for the coming months. Learn the constellations
  75. by turning the lines on and off, and see if you can see the shapes the
  76. ancients saw. There is no better or more beautiful way to use your computer
  77. to educate yourself or your children about the wonders of the night sky.
